To combat the trauma associated with the child-welfare system and the anxiety many children feel when entering the courthouse, Growing Up Greene introduced the Pup Program in late 2023.  COALBIE is a three-year-old beagle mix, who is loved by everyone, child and grown-up alike.  She was adopted from the Greene County Humane Society, trained at Off Leash K-9 Training in Washington, and was certified with her handler by Therapy Dogs United in Erie.  Her friends at Waynesburg Animal Hospital are responsible for all of her veterinary needs, including vaccines and regular wellness exams.
