Growing Up Greene's volunteer Child Advocates are appointed by the Greene County Common Pleas Court to provide an extra shield of protection for the children they serve.  Once appointed, Child Advocates are tasked with building relationships with their appointed children, gathering medical and mental health information, regularly observing the child in their foster placement and during visitations, and reporting to the Court with best-interest recommendations.

Child Advocates work closely with their child-welfare partners to provide the Court with an objective summary of the children's current status.  If you are interested in learning more about volunteering as a Child Advocate for Greene County's most vulnerable children, please contact Growing Up Greene for more information about upcoming training opportunities.
