Like so many other families have experienced, Growing Up Greene’s starter home has run out of space, and we need your help to take on a bigger role in our community.  We have spent the last seven years proving our commitment to Greene County’s children, families, and the child-welfare system at large.  Our mission has evolved from one program to seven, and the impact of our work has been felt by hundreds of families across the county.

Greene County’s long history of independence and resourcefulness lives on in current and future generations.  A wonderful opportunity has been presented, and Growing Up Greene is now the proud owner of a historic piece of that past.  The Democrat Messenger Building has served as a beacon for current events in southwestern Pennsylvania for the last 85 years, and now it will serve as a safe harbor for local families searching for resources and aid.  We are humbly and respectfully asking for our community’s support in this monumental undertaking.

Coalbie’s Warrior Walk is starting right now on the banks of the Ohio River.  Showing her commitment to the children she serves, Greene County’s child therapy dog will trek the entire 67-mile Native American route over the next seven days.  This journey will take her through the northern panhandle of West Virginia and across the entirety of Greene County.  What we all do for our children today will help shape the communities we will be tomorrow.

Please show your support of Growing Up Greene’s mission to protect our area’s most important resource by following Coalbie’s progress, sharing social media updates, and by donating to our GoFundMe.  Growing Up Greene’s success is the result of your support.  You have made the last seven years possible, and it is our sincere wish that we have made you proud to be a part of the mission.  Shielding children from trauma is our highest honor, and helping families thrive is our most ambitious goal.
